The Crisis of Modern Abundance: Why Training Is the Only Way Through

Abundance Without Direction

The modern world is thriving in so many ways. Global poverty is at an all-time low. AI, technology and medical advancement is at an all-time high. Mankind has never enjoyed more abundance, comfort, luxury and ease.

From Libraries to Limitlessness

Not long ago one had to travel to a library and understand the Dewey Decimal System to uncover and attain knowledge. Now all the information of the world can be quickly accessed in the palm of your hand on a smartphone or laptop. Knowledge used to be power but no longer is.

Now true power lies in the ability to decipher information. Consciously choosing what you focus on and what you let in.

The Three Crises of the Modern Age

The modern world, in all its advancements and effort to improve the quality of mankind’s experience, has created three main crises.

We have found ourselves in a time crisis, an energy crisis, and a meaning crisis. If you don’t address the first two, you will never attain the capability of addressing the third.

How many people do you meet that will quickly tell you, “I never have enough time and I never have enough energy”?

How many people do you meet who truly know the meaning and purpose of their existence?

The Answer Is in the Training

The answer always lies in training.
The way is in training.
In a world where we find ourselves distracted, overwhelmed and exhausted, the solution always lies in training.

“In times of crisis we do not rise to the level of our hopes but rather fall to the level of our training.”
— Marcus Aurelius

Returning to the Center

Through movement, meditation and prayer, we can return to the center and cultivate a higher level of awareness. From this state, we can shift from being overwhelmed and emotionally reacting to our environment and circumstances.

Through training, we enhance and sharpen the ability to pause, take a step back, remove filters and see things for what they truly are.

By doing this, we allow ourselves the ability to make more conscious choices — because our success is ultimately predicated on the number of conscious choices we make.

Presence Is the Path

Movement, meditation & prayer isn’t just physical and mental fitness.
It’s how we return to presence.
With every conscious breath, you will reclaim your clarity, get out of your head, get into your body and into the ground.

From this grounded state, you become the calm eye in the chaos of the storm — a.k.a. life.

The Long Way Is the Easy Way

The long way is the easy way…
Strength is life.
Weakness is death.
And death is chasing us all.

Have the courage to train.
